Five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld has swapped the oche for the recording studio, after appearing in a music video titled: ‘180 Left Lane’ with Dutch hip hop star Donnie. The single was released on Spotify on Friday and features a memorable cameo from the darting legend.
Donnie, also known as Donald Scloszkie, is a big fan of the Den Haag ace and has referenced him in a number of his songs; most notably his 2015 single ‘Mentaal’. However, the 23-year-old has now gone one better by including Van Barneveld in his latest music video.
The Amsterdam hip-hop artist admitted that he was really impressed by Van Barneveld’s performance and claimed he has a ‘natural talent’. Barney also revealed on Hague FM that he has received offers to perform at a festival after the release of the single, although he maintains that he’s not quite ready for that just yet!
Nevertheless, this isn’t Van Barneveld’s first plunge into the music industry. The five-time world champion previously featured in a song along with his compatriots Vincent van der Voort, Co Stompe and Rick Hofstra ahead of the 2004 European Championships.
Step aside Jay-Z; we have a new star in the shape of Ray-B! Take a look at the music video on YouTube below!
