Phil Taylor rejected speculation of a sensational retirement U-turn earlier this month, although ‘The Power’ is set for a televised return in March 2020, as he returns to the soft-tip circuit to compete in one of the biggest events on the DartsLive calendar.
The 16-time world champion has been invited to compete at 2020 Super Darts – one of the biggest tournaments on the soft-tip scene. The Stoke-on-Trent veteran featured at this event back in 2018, reaching the final before succumbing to Japan’s World Cup of Darts veteran Haruki Muramatsu.
The 59-year-old will attempt to go one step better when he competes in Tokyo on March 13 and 14, where he’ll be competing alongside legendary Singapore star Paul Lim and reigning women’s world champion Mikuru Suzuki.
Hong Kong’s Kai Fan Leung and Croatian Boris Krcmar – both of whom secured PDC Tour Cards at Qualifying School this year, will also be in attendance and Taylor has been pitted against former PDC World Championship participant Tengku Shah in his opener.
The tournament will be broadcast live in Japan and a live stream can be followed via the following link.
