In our fourth episode of ‘The Bounce Out’, Josh Gorton, Jon Dean and Neil Conner reflect on how the Coronavirus pandemic has decimated the darting calendar and the potential repercussions in the coming months.
The boys are joined by friend of the show Jordan Harrison, who provides a fan’s perspective from his recent trip to the UK Open in Minehead, which saw Michael van Gerwen land a sensational nine-darter en route to lifting the title.
The boys also round-up the competitive action we’ve seen over the last few weeks, whilst Josh speaks to South African star Devon Petersen (32:10-42:55), who discusses his strong start to 2020, the benefits of Wayne Mardle’s coaching and how he’s coping with an extended lay-off.
We also give our assessment of the big breaking news from the BDO last week, which saw chairman Des Jacklin announce his resignation with immediate effect. Jacklin took over in August 2018 but presided over arguably the most turbulent period in the organisation’s history.
We also pay tribute to former World Youth champion Keegan Brown, who is taking on more NHS shifts amid the darting hiatus to offer valuable support to his frontline colleagues in the fight against Coronavirus.
