WATCH: Barney recreates brilliant Mardle Walk-On

Raymond van Barneveld showed off his dance moves as he recreated Wayne Mardle’s iconic ‘Hawaii Five-0’ entrance in a hilarious social media video on Friday.

The five-time world champion was beaten by Mardle in the inaugural PDC Walk-On World Cup on Thursday – an interactive competition devised by the PDC which saw fans given the opportunity to vote for their favourite darting walk-on.

The Dutchman defeated Adrian Lewis, Mensur Suljovic, Simon Whitlock, Daryl Gurney and Peter Wright to reach the final, whilst Mardle saw off 16-time world champion Phil Taylor and world number one Michael van Gerwen before getting the better of Barney.

The pair exchanged a number of playful quips on social media throughout the final and the poll – published via the PDC’s official twitter account, received almost 20,000 votes. However, Mardle came out on top; receiving approximately 56% of the public vote.

Mardle and Van Barneveld vowed to replicate their opponents’ entrances following the final and ‘Hawaii 501’ was first up on Friday morning, as he recreated Van Barneveld’s intense ‘Eye of The Tiger’ walk-on which always generated a sensational atmosphere, particularly on Dutch soil.

Nevertheless, not to be outdone – the doyen of Dutch darts donned his very own Hawaiian shirt in homage to Mardle, performing an energetic routine and congratulating the Sky Sports expert on having the best walk-on in world darts. Strictly Come Dancing awaits, Raymond…
