Josh’s Dartistry Darts Podcast – Episode 25

In our latest episode of the Josh’s Dartistry Darts Podcast, Josh Gorton is joined by regular co-hosts Jon Dean and Neil Conner to round-up the latest darting action.

The major tournaments are coming thick and fast due to the truncated season, and we reflect on the key events that have taken place over recent weeks, including Wales’ maiden World Cup success in Salzburg last weekend.

Josh also brings us an exclusive interview with the legendary Deta Hedman, who made history at last month’s Women’s Series, by becoming the second oldest player in darting history to secure a PDC World Championship debut.

PDC Round-Up (9:50) – We look back on a hectic period which has seen Gerwyn Price, Glen Durrant and Peter Wright triumph at the World Grand Prix, Premier League and European Championship respectively, before Price and Jonny Clayton teamed up to lead Wales to World Cup glory.

Grand Slam Preview (28:50) – The Grand Slam of Darts begins at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on Monday, and Josh brings us an update on the qualifiers, with three places still yet to be finalised following the Winter Series, which draws to a conclusion on Saturday.

What are the odds? (32:40) – Our resident odds man Neil Conner brings us odds for next week’s Grand Slam, where we have a new tournament favourite! We also look at how the recent tournaments have impacted the betting for next month’s PDC World Championship.

Deta Hedman interview (44:40) – Widely regarded as one of the sport’s original trailblazers, Deta Hedman will make her Alexandra Palace bow at the age of 61 following her success at the Women’s Series, and she’s relishing her opportunity in the spotlight.

Challenge Josh (55:45) – Challenge Josh returns as Neil and Jon test Josh’s general darting knowledge in another entertaining episode.
