We’re joined by Sky Sports expert Wayne Mardle in our latest episode of the Josh’s Dartistry Darts podcast, as we reflect on a thrilling Grand Slam of Darts, Fallon Sherrock’s history-making exploits, Gerwyn Price’s latest success, and much more!

Josh Gorton is joined by regular co-hosts Jon Dean and Neil Conner to round-up all the action from Wolverhampton, and we also look ahead to the Players Championship Finals – the final tournament before the annual pilgrimage to Alexandra Palace.

Price scooped his third Grand Slam crown in four years at the Aldersley Leisure Village with victory over world No 2 Peter Wright, while Michael van Gerwen and Gary Anderson produced some imperious displays, which augurs well with the World Championships on the horizon…

Grand Slam of Darts review (7:57) – Gerwyn Price lifted the coveted Eric Bristow Trophy in Wolverhampton, but the headlines were dominated by Fallon Sherrock, who performed magnificently to reach the last eight. We also saw some of the sport’s most talented youngsters emerge, plus there was the return of a certain Raymond van Barneveld.

Wayne Mardle – Exclusive Interview (31:10) – Friend of the show Wayne Mardle was in fine form as he reflected on a thrilling Grand Slam. ‘Hawaii 501’ offered his thoughts on the performances of Price and Van Gerwen, Sherrock’s Premier League prospects, her potential impact on the sport, and some early predictions ahead of Ally Pally.

What are the odds? (1:00:50) – We look ahead to the Players Championship Finals, which began on Friday afternoon. Our resident stats man Neil Conner brings us odds for this year’s event in Minehead, with Michael van Gerwen defending his title, and we also delve into the current odds ahead of next month’s World Championship.
