Two-time world champion Gary Anderson will resume his 2019 season at next week’s Players Championship double-header in Barnsley.

‘The Flying Scotsman’ has competed in just three events since last year’s World Championship, after suffering with a multitude of injury problems. He struggled at the Alexandra Palace and was forced to withdraw from the Masters and the Premier League due to a twisted spine.

Double delight for Wade in Barnsley!

James Wade claimed a third PDC title in the space of eight days after completing a memorable Players Championship double on a thrilling weekend of darts in Barnsley.

Prior to this month, ‘The Machine’ hadn’t won a Players Championship event since July 2015, but the nine-time major winner claimed Players Championship 11 & 12 glory to secure his third floor title in four events.

Wade & Clayton seal Players Championship titles!

James Wade and Jonny Clayton sealed Players Championship glory on another eventful weekend of Pro Tour action at the Barnsley Metrodome.

Four of the world’s top seven were absent this weekend, with Michael van Gerwen joined on the sidelines by Daryl Gurney, Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price. Meanwhile, 2018 world champion Rob Cross pulled out of Sunday’s event due to illness.
