The face of Sky Sports’ darts coverage, Dave Clark, is set to embark on a 200 mile coast-to-coast walk across England this weekend in order to raise funds for Parkinson’s UK. Clark was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease over five years ago, back in January 2011, but he has fought the illness with immense bravery.

Parkinson’s UK is the charity adopted by the Professional Darts Corporation for 2016, as a tribute and acknowledgement of Clark’s inspiring determination to fight this horrid condition, which also killed his father Alan.

Clark begins his trek this Saturday at St Bees,¬†connecting the Irish and North Seas, before the 200 mile walk culminates at Robin Hood’s Bay, near Whitby on September 23rd.

Clark has already raised over ¬£31,000 for Parkinson’s UK, having received donations from the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis & Raymond van Barneveld. He also received a call from Alan Shearer, who said his mate would give him free membership to his gym in London, in order for him to build up his fitness.
